Last updated: May 12, 2026
Château Maxwell ("we", "our") is a senior residence operating in Baie-D'Urfé, Quebec. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and how it is protected. It is written to comply with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25, formerly Bill 64) and applicable Canadian privacy law.
Person in charge of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Château Maxwell is Linda Sedlak. You may reach her at linda@maxwellresidence.com or 514-457-3111 with any question or request relating to your personal information.
What we collect on this website
We only collect what we need to operate the site and respond to inquiries:
- Information you voluntarily provide through our contact and 'Become a Resident' forms (name, email, phone, message). This is used solely to reply to your inquiry.
- Technical and usage information collected by Microsoft Clarity, only if you give consent on this site: pages viewed, clicks, scrolls, session recordings, device type, browser, and approximate location based on IP. Clarity masks text and form input by default.
- Essential preferences stored in your browser (such as your language choice and your cookie consent decision). These are required for the site to work and are not used for tracking.
Purposes
We use the information described above to:
- Answer your inquiries and schedule visits.
- Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it (Microsoft Clarity).
- Keep the site functioning (language preference, security).
Cookies and tracking
We do not set any analytics or tracking cookie until you accept on the banner that appears the first time you visit. If you refuse, Microsoft Clarity is never loaded. You can change your decision at any time from this page ("Cookie preferences" below) or by clearing your browser storage.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information you submit through the contact forms is stored in our content management system (Supabase, hosted in the United States) and used only to reach you. Microsoft Clarity processes website analytics on Microsoft's infrastructure. We do not transfer personal information outside Canada except as needed to operate these services.
Retention
Inquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to follow up with you, and are then deleted or archived in a manner that protects them. Microsoft Clarity data is retained according to Microsoft's standard retention period (currently up to 13 months).
Your rights
Under Quebec law you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent at any time (for example, by refusing cookies or asking us to delete your inquiry).
- File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) if you believe your rights have not been respected.
Security
Personal information is hosted on secured services with restricted access and encrypted connections. Only authorized staff can view inquiries.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again on your next visit.
